Water Resistance Testing

Using the ALC2000 we apply an under-pressure of say 0.2 atm and measure the deformation of the watch in 1/10ths of a micron. The watch should expand slightly and maintain that expansion if it is air-tight. We then apply an over-pressure dependent on the rating of the watch, say 3atm, and again measure the elastic deformation. The test takes a few minutes but the accuracy of the measurement allows us to predict the performance of the watch in water but without the risk of damage if it fails the test. We may subsequently do a wet test if the rating requires it or if we want to determine the position of a leak. All water resistant watches are tested if they have been opened. We are pleased to offer an after sales service to keep your watch in best condition or to restore it to its usual reliable self.
